The registration deadline has been extended to September 1 for Grow Your Own Way, the State MGV Conference scheduled for Sept. 29 and 30 in Columbus. To get registered, go to: go.osu.edu/2017statemgv.
A few seats on the Friday bus tours are still available. The registration fee for these tours includes lunch and all admissions! Tours will visit some magnificent Columbus gardens and urban food plots including Franklin Park Conservatory, Topiary Park, Whetstone Park of Roses, and others. One tour includes a very exclusive tour to a magazine-quality private residence garden in Bexley. Tickets for the Friday evening dinner and keynote presentation on the topic of Well Loved Ohio Garden Plants by Melinda Myers are also still available. The registration fee for the Friday dinner includes adult beverages! Both the bus tours and Friday evening session are open to non-MGV’s so plan to bring a friend!
Very few seats remain for the Saturday session open only to MGV’s, which features a wide array of breakout sessions, some off-site and hands-on! Topics range from GMO’s to Mushroom production to climate change to Mediterranean herb production and use. Pam Bennett will deliver a morning keynote on the topic of Diversity in Nature; Joseph Tychonievich will deliver a lunchtime keynote on the topic of Rock Gardening: Reimagining a Classic Style; and Melinda Myers will deliver a capstone presentation on Planning and Planting the Fall Garden.
