The advanced training program "What's New in Vegetable Gardening Integrated Pest Management" held on OSU Campus at the Waterman Farm Laboratory was a great success thanks to the efforts of OSU and Purdue Extension specialists. Master Gardener volunteers from 14 Ohio counties learned the lastest information from Purdue Extension Communication Specialist Dr. Mark Tucker and OSU Extension Speicialists Dr. Celeste Welty, Dr. Sally Miller, and Jim Jasinksi. |

Master Gardener Volunteers Plant at Ohio Governor's Residence |

On Thursday, October 12th, 45 Master Gardener volunteers from 14 Ohio counties assisted Governor's Residence horticulturist Rick Stanforth by completing the Meadow garden planting. The Meadow garden project started in 2003 and is representative of the Allegheny Plains region in Ohio and highlights native plants from this area. MG volunteers across the state donated plant material that represents their counties.

MGV Advanced Training Opportunity |

Master Gardener volunteers have an opportunity on June 7th from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to learn from OSU Extension and Purdue Extension specialists on the latest information regarding vegetable garden integrated pest management. Class will be held on OSU Campus and the cost for MGV's is $20.00 and includes lunch and materials. |
