    Adventuring in Ecuador, a country with 12 hours of sunlight year-round, has been experienced by over 50 Ohio Master Gardener Volunteers.  Since 2013 Ohio MGVS have partnered with the Tandana Foundation to provide a working vacation in Otavalo and surrounding communities.  The focus has been on cultivating trees, water remediation, education, planting, gardening and working side-by-side with locals to improve their communities.  Activities are a mixture of work and cultural activities including touring, cooking classes, shopping, and more.

    Join Miami County MGVs Gloria Parker and Sandy Fisher as they detail step-by-step instructions on how to construct holiday centerpieces.   Learn basic design principles and discover how to “shop” your garden for free materials. Wiring and bow creation will also be covered.

    All MGV Coordinators - staff, volunteer, MGV presidents - should attend this conference for MGV updates, the final answer on branding and to learn from peers what works in their program. Education, networking, sharing informatioin and a great lunch.  Registration is required and the cost is $35.  This will be held in Columbus in Ag.     Learn how to successfully manage volunteers. Learn from specialists and your peers what works with their Master Gardener Volunteers and what does not. Registration is only $35, and the workshop will be held in Columbus in the Ag Admin Building.     Hardin County Crop Walk program will consist of a diagnostic table and walk through a produce patch to learn solutions of common fruit and vegetable problems. Topics include plant nutrition and soil fertility, plant diseases, and insect pest management. Bring along your specimens for questions and answers along with a lawn chair. Location is about three miles northeast of the Scioto Valley Produce Auction.
